Our Postmarks Competition has now closed.

We asked:  Ben Gibbard is the lead singer in which other mail related band?

The answer was The Postal Service.

The winner, selected at random from our correct entries, was:

Annaloa Hilmarsdottir, from Chacewater, Cornwall

A copy of Memoirs At The End Of The World will be mailed out to Annaloa. Hope you enjoy it and congratulations.

Four badly rated albums up for grabs!

This competition has now closed. The correct answer was Jerry Harrison. The winner of the four CDs is James Sebastion.

This month you have the opportunity to win four of Neon Filler's least favourite albums of the last 12 months. These aren't the four worst reviewed albums (we wouldn't wish them on anyone) but they are albums that were probably flattered by their scores. The four CDs up for grabs are:

The Rumblestrips - Welcome To The Walk Along  - The limp Mark Ronson production can't shoulder all the blame for this album. In retrospect 6/10 seems very kind.

Girls - Album  - Another album that was reviewed more kindly than it deserved. Both pretentious and boring.

Hockey - Mind Chaos  - One half decent single doesn't an album make. Back to the drawing board.

Good Shoes - No Hope, No Future
- An album so lacking in ideas that I couldn't even bring myself to review it. Notable only for having some of the worst lyrics committed to CD.

However, my take on these albums may not match yours, and other reviewers have been very favourable to all of the above.

To get the chance to try these albums out for yourself, answer the following question:

Which member of Talking Heads produced some of the songs on Mind Chaos?

Send you answers (along with your name and address) to worstcomp@neonfiller.com

The closing date for this competition is 31/03/10. The lucky winner of all four albums will be randomly selected from all the correct submissions.
