Away from the TV cameras Glastonbury Festival’s smaller stages are a goldmine of talent. Here are some of the acts we recommend catching at the event in 2025.
Nectar Woode
During our judging for the longlist for the Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition we were highly impressed with Nectar Woode’s track How It’s Gotta Be. She was one of our three to be selected, and while she didn’t make the shortlist she has continued to impress and has bagged herself a couple of slots at the event this year. With a new album out you can check out why we rate her highly. And if you don’t believe us, her high-profile fans include none other than Elton John. Just two weeks ago she featured on Jools Holland’s TV show with her track Only Happen.

Gemma Rogers
Gemma Rogers will be showcasing her unique brand of punk pop on the small stages at Glastonbury Festival this year. Her first single of the year Molly 1989 is among tracks that have impressed us. She was also excellent at this year’s Great Escape festival, according to our Brighton correspondents.
Croissant Neuf, Saturday, 13:30 – 14:30
Divorce
Nottingham four piece Divorce had released one of the albums of the year with Drive to Goldenhammer and are another highlight of the smaller stages. Blending rock and pop, with a country twang they will surely be on larger stages by the time the festival is held again. For now they are playing twice at the festival. We hope we get to see them this year.

Alt Blk Era
This genre spanning and defying act blend pop, rock, rap and electronica and are already winners of this year’s MOBO Best Alternative Music Act. Your Drummer’s Girlfriend is among their many great songs.
