Scott Pilgrim actor Michael Cera has joined Mister Heavenly, playing bass for the indie supergroup for their first set of dates touring the west coast of America.
The band, which has signed to Sub Pop, already boasts Islands’ Nick Thorburn, Modest Mouse’s Joe Plummer and Man Man frontman Ryan Kattner.
According to Sub Pop Cera, who has played musicians in Scott Pilgrim and Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, is not an official member and has joined them for their west coast tour only.
Here’s a couple of clips of Cera in action at the band’s first and second ever shows, supporting Passion Pit in Seattle and Portland this week.
