Sprints, English Teacher, and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy are among our pick of the acts performing at End of the Road 2024.
Taking place at Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset from 29 August to 1 September this annual highlight in the festival calendar is frequently the live embodiment of our record collection.
This year is no exception with Sleater-Kinney, Yo La Tengo, Slowdive and Richard Hawley and Camera Obscura also joining the line up.
Among our End of the Road 2024 picks are two post punk acts that have already impressed us live, English Teacher, whose debut album This Could Be Texas is one of the best releases of the year and have augmented their live sound with cello, stage diving and more.
Meanwhile, Sprints from Dublin are excellently fun live, especially the on-stage banter from their lead singer Karla Chubb.
Bonnie Prince Billy is something of a legend for our blog, with his heartfelt releases over the years played frequently.
According to John, our roving reviewer who is attending, tickets for the event this year are getting low. He suggests “you get that tent out of the shed, get some cider in and head down to the Larmer Tree Gardens in Dorset”.
“If you like an incredibly diverse bill of eclectic music, with lashings of comedy, literature, lunacy and downright good vibes then check it out,” he adds.
Oh, did we forget to also mention that Richard Dawson, Gruff Rhys, Baxter Dury, Slowdive, Slift are also playing. Well, they certainly are.
